The Strong Spirit Strong Mind Youth Project aims to raise awareness of the harms associated with alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues & improve social and emotional wellbeing (SEWB) among young Aboriginal people and their families and communities across Western Australia. The Project focuses on young people aged 12 to 25 years and encourages these young Aboriginal people to develop the knowledge and attitudes to choose healthy lifestyles, promote healthy environments and create safer communities.
Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia
Established in late March 2020, Gayaa Dhuwi (Proud Spirit) Australia is the new national Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (Indigenous) social and emotional wellbeing, mental health and suicide prevention leadership body. It is governed and controlled by Indigenous experts and peak bodies working in these areas, promoting collective excellence in mental health care.
